Due to their exceptional chemical and biological properties, the nanocomposites containing silver (Ag) nanoparticle and Reduced Graphene Oxide (r-GO) have shown intriguing potential application for wastewater treatment. The Ag nanoparticles anchored r-GO (r-GO/Ag) nanocomposite was created in the current study using a one-pot in situ chemical reduction approach. By using powder x-ray diffraction (XRD), x-ray photoelectron microscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-visible spectroscopy techniques, the produced composites were evaluated. The outcome showed that Ag nanoparticles with an average size of 24 nm were dispersed on r-GO, and this supports the creation of nanocomposites. Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and Gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli) both showed considerable antibacterial activity against r-GO when Ag nanoparticles were used in conjunction with it.
