ZINC OXIDE NANO CRYSTAL SYNTHESIS FROM ZINC ACETATE DIHYDRATE

Abstract :
New method has been developed to synthesis Zinc Oxide nanomaterials for the photocatalytic activity of various organic dyes. Simple solution method was utilized to synthesis Zinc Oxide nano crystals by the moderate temperature at 50°C. Three different dyes were selected for this study, such as Fluorescein, malachite green and basic fuchsin dyes. The photocatalytic activity of Zinc Oxide nano crystals on the above three organic dyes were performed under the UV excitation principle. The significance of Zinc Oxide nanomaterials on the photocatalytic activities were investigated with respect to the different concentration of the solution as well as the UV exposure time. The results showed a better performance on malachite green and basic fuchsin dye solution over the Fluorescein dye molecules.
