THE CORRELATION BETWEEN MEDIA ADDICTION AND SLEEP QUALITY
The major objective of the present study is to assess the relationship between media addiction and sleep quality in adults. Internet addiction is effective on insomnia and several other sleep disorders. Moreover, some studies claim that heavy users of the Internet have higher incidence 36 rates of insomnia since time spent online seriously disrupts the sleep and wake-up schedules of individuals. Therefore, the main focus of this study is the dynamics between media addiction and the quality of sleep The Sleep Quality Scale (SQS) developed by Yi, H., Shin, K., & Shin, C. (2006) The Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) developed by Andreessen,v C. S., Torsheim, T., Brunborg, G. S., & Pallesen, S. (2012) . The samples are collected from the adults between the age of 18- 25. Sample size is 250. Convenience sampling technique was used to collect samples from college. The collected data are analyzed using mean, standard deviation, Pearson Correlation Test by SPSS 20.
