SYNTHESIS AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF ZnS NANOPARTICLES
In the present work, ZnS nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrothermal method using capping agent like Poly vinyl alcohol (PVA). These prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and UV-Visible spectra . XRD analysis showed that the samples prepared were having Cubic zinc blended structure UV-Visible absorption spectra were used to find the optical band gap for the prepared samples and the values obtained as 3.54 eV polyviny alcohol (PVA) capped ZnS nanoparticles respectively. The functional group was analyzed using FTIR spectra.
