SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MAGNESIUM OXIDE NANOPARTICLES BY SOLGEL METHOD
Mgo nanoparticles were prepared by using wet chemical method such as co-precipitation and hydrothermal method. The synthesized Mg nanoparticles were characterized by X-Ray diffraction analysis PXRD result reveals that the nanoparticles are in crystalline form with cubic phone and the crystalline sizes was calculated by using Debye scherrer formula. UV result shows that absorption peak at wavelength of 295 nm and 297 nm were obtained co-precipitation method and hydrothermal method respectively and this band gap values were also calculated and reported. The characteristic vibrational frequency of Mg=O at 548 cm-1 peak along with the literature. The morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles was studied by using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) The photocatalytic property were analyzed by the absorption of methylene blue dye by developed nanoparticles.
