Abstract :
Queuing theory can be applied to a wide variety of operation situations where imperfect matching between the customers and service facilities is caused by one’s inability to predict accurately the arrival and service times of customers. This necessitates the study of waiting time of the customers and the facility. Control chart technique may be applied to analyze the waiting time of the customers in the system to improve the services and the effective performance of concerns. Control chart constructed for random variable W, the waiting time spent in the system, provides the control limits for W. In this research paper a six sigma based control chart under moderate distribution proposed for waiting time in the queuing model M/M/1.
