RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIFE SATISFACTION AND GRATITUTE AMONG GENERAL POPULATION

Abstract :
The study focuses on relationship between Life Satisfaction and Gratitude. Life Satisfaction the feeling of pleasure that you have when you have done, got or achieved what you wanted; something that gives you this feeling. Gratitude the feeling of being gratefulness or wanting to give your thanks to somebody. The present study aims is to find the relationship between Life Satisfaction and Gratitude among General Population 18 to 50. 103 samples are collected from 27 male 76 female general populations from different on region of India. “Satisfaction With Life Scale (Life Satisfaction)” which developed by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, and Griffin (1985). The scale consists of 5 items which measures global cognitive judgments of satisfaction with one’s life. “Gratitude Questionnaire” developed by McCullough, M. E., Emmons, R. A., & Tsang, J. (2002). The scale consists of 6 items. The data obtained were analyzed using independent t-test and Pearson’s correlation analysis. Result showed that there is a significant relationship between Life Satisfaction and Gratitude among General Population
