PROPERTIES OF THE BA AND NI DOPED CDS THIN FILMS PRODUCED BY SPRAY PYROLYSIS IN TERMS OF STRUCTURE, OPTICS, AND MAGNETISM
Spray pyrolysis was used to coat pure, barium- and nickel-doped cadmium sulphide (CdS) thin films on glass substrates at 400 °C. The produced CdS and doped CdS thin films were examined using a variety of techniques, including optical, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The coated pure, Ba, and Ni-doped CdS thin films are found to have a cubic crystal structure with an orientation that favors the (111) direction, according to X-ray diffraction studies. Average crystallite size was found to be 31, 33, and 45 nm for clean, Ba, and Ni doped CdS thin films, respectively. It was also determined the average dislocation density () and stacking fault (SF) of pure, Ba, and Ni doped CdS thin films. The thin film's surface morphology and elemental analysis.
