PRODUCTION OF ACETIC ACID FROM SWEET ORANGE FRUITS
The production of acetic acid from sweet orange fruits presents a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to utilizing agricultural by-products. This study explores the feasibility and optimization of the process, aiming to establish an efficient and cost-effective method. Analytical techniques, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), are employed to monitor the fermentation progress and determine the acetic acid concentration at different stages. By continuously analyzing the fermentation process, the researchers can adjust conditions and identify potential bottlenecks to optimize the production efficiency. In conclusion, the production of acetic acid from sweet orange fruits presents a promising alternative to traditional methods, harnessing the potential of agricultural by-products for valuable chemical synthesis. Further research and development in this area could lead to the establishment of a sustainable and economically viable pathway for acetic acid production, reducing environmental impacts and promoting a greener future.
