PHYTO CHEMICAL PROFILING OF MEDICINAL PLANTS USED AGAINST CANCER

Dr.S.POONGODI and Mr.S.RAMARAJAN

The analysis of the physiochemical composition of medicinal plants has attracted a lot of interest in the development of new and potent cancer therapies. Because cancer is still one of the top causes of death worldwide, natural substances must be investigated as potential therapeutic agents. The purpose of this study was to identify potential bioactive chemicals in chosen medicinal plants that have historically been used as cancer treatments by analyzing their photochemical composition. The plants were gathered from various geographic locations, and extracts from them were examined using a variety of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. Using in vitro and in vivo models, the discovered photochemical were further assessed for their anticancer properties. The findings showed that the plants under study included a wide variety of secondary metabolites, including alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, and polyphenols. Numerous photochemical shown effective anticancer properties, preventing
