Using a spray method using a perfume atomizer, ZnO thin film was applied to the glass substrate at varied substrate temperatures. At 450oC, thin films of ZnO are annealed after being deposited. Highly transparent and affixed to the substrate, the deposited films are translucent. The structure and the micro structural, morphological, compositional, optical, and luminescent properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman, field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM with EDX), atomic force microscope (AFM), UV-Vis, and photoluminescence spectroscopic techniques. XRD results verified that the annealed film is crystalline and that its preferred orientation is along the (1 0 1) plane. Reorientation of planes was seen at higher substrate temperatures. Morphological research have revealed that the grains are spherical in form. One important criterion was the ZnO film's roughness.
