IOT BASED FISHERMAN TRACKING AND COMMUNICATION USING WIRELESS WATER COMMUNICATION
The fishing industry plays a vital role in the global economy, but it faces several challenges, including the safety and efficiency of fishermen. This project proposes an innovative solution called "IoT-Based Fisherman Tracking and Communication Using Wireless Water Communication" to address these challenges. The objective of this project is to develop a system that enables realtime tracking and communication for fishermen using IoT and wireless water communication technologies. The system utilizes IoT devices, such as GPS trackers and sensors, integrated into fishing boats and worn by fishermen. The proposed system leverages wireless water communication techniques to establish reliable and efficient communication between fishing boats, shore stations, and fishermen themselves. This wireless communication enables the transmission of important information such as location, weather updates, emergency alerts, and other relevant data. By employing GPS tracking, the system provides continuous monitoring of fishing boats' locations, ensuring better navigation and safety for the fishermen. In case of emergencies or distress situations, fishermen can quickly communicate with shore stations or nearby boats, facilitating prompt assistance and rescue operations. Furthermore, the system collects and analyzes various environmental data using onboard sensors, including water temperature, depth, and salinity. This information can be used to make informed decisions about fishing locations, optimize catch rates, and promote sustainable fishing practices. v The project aims to enhance the overall efficiency and safety of fishermen, leading to improved productivity, reduced risks, and better resource management in the fishing industry. The IoT-based tracking and communication system can be easily scalable and adaptable, making it suitable for different fishing communities and regions worldwide.
