INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE RESILIENCE AMONG ADULTHOOD

Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotion. It is generally said to include a few skills: namely emotional awareness, or the ability to identify and name one’s own emotion. The present aim of the study is to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on resilience among adulthood.  Nearly 200 both male and female data were collected using descriptive in nature. The tools are used in the present study included the Schutte self-report emotional intelligence test (SSEIT) – developed by Schutte and her colleagues in 1998. The reliability of the test emotional intelligence scale was reported to have a god two-week test-retest reliability and an internal consistency of Cronbach’s alpha .90 (Schutte et al., 1998) and the resilience scale (RS-14) _ developed by Wagnild and young in 1993 . The internal consistencies (cronbach’s alpha reliability) of the scale was r=9.3. The statistical test used in this study is independence t-test, ANOVA (analysis of variable) was used to find out the difference between the mean groups and Pearson’s product moment correlation to find out the significant relationship between emotional intelligence resilience. Regression analysis was used to find out the influence of emotional intelligence and resilience among adulthood with SPSS version 20.0 software.
