R.VINODHINI & M.JASMINE

The continuous demand for novel therapeutic agents has fueled the exploration of diverse natural sources for drug development. Solanum hispidum, a medicinal plant with a long history of traditional use, exhibits a wide range of pharmacological properties, making it a promising candidate for drug discovery. These abstract highlights the potential of in silico analysis in unlocking the pharmacological prospects of Solanum hispidum for new drug development. In silico analysis, a computational approach, has gained significant prominence in the early stages of drug discovery, offering cost-effective and time-efficient strategies. This study involves the application of various computational tools, including molecular docking, virtual screening, and molecular dynamics simulations, to assess the potential interactions between bioactive compounds from Solanum hispidum and selected target proteins implicated in various diseases.Through in silico screening, numerous bioactive compounds have been identified in Solanum hispidum, showing favorable binding affinities towards key disease-related targets. These targets encompass a wide range of diseases, including cancer, inflammation, microbial infections, and metabolic disorders. Moreover, molecular dynamics simulations have provided valuable insights into the stability and conformational changes of the protein-ligand complexes over time, further confirming the potential of Solanum hispidum compounds as drug candidates.   The integration of in silico analysis with traditional pharmacological investigations can significantly accelerate the drug discovery process by prioritizing the most promising compounds for further experimental validation. Furthermore, in silico predictions can aid in understanding the underlying mechanisms of action and potential side effects, contributing to a more rational and safer drug development process. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the potential of Solanum hispidum as a rich source of bioactive compounds with promising pharmacological prospects. The use of in silico analysis has facilitated the identification of potential drug candidates, allowing researchers to focus on the most promising compounds for further exploration. As the development of new drugs remains a pressing global need, the findings from this study hold the promise of providing novel therapeutic agents derived from Solanum hispidum to combat various diseases effectively. However, further experimental investigations are warranted to validate the efficacy and safety of these compounds, paving the way for future drug development endeavors.
