GREEN SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF Cu DOPED SILVER NANOPARTICLES AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Mrs.K.JAYANTHI

Silver Nanoparticles and Copper doped Silver Nanoparticles are synthesized by using aqueous plant extract of Ziziphus mauritiana by a simple and eco-friendly green route. In the present study, the determination of photocatalytic properties of the resultant un-doped and Cu-doped Silver Nanoparticles was carried out. The plant extract of Ziziphus mauritiana were taken as reducing agent as well as capping agent to synthesize un-doped and Cu-doped Silver Nanoparticles from AgNO3, and  Cu (CH3,COO2) The synthesized un-doped and Cu-doped Silver Nanoparticles were characterized by different spectroscopic techniques like X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM),Energy Dispersive Analysis of X-Ray (EDAX), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS) under sunlight radiation, photo-catalytic disintegration potential of un-doped and Cu-doped Silver Nanoparticles were determined by the degradation of Rhodamine B.
