GALOI’S THEORY AND ITS APPLICATION IN ABSTRACT ALGEBRA

Abstract :
In this chapter, we shall discuss one of the most elegant theories in abstract algebra which is of course called "Galoi's Theory". This theory is an excellent composite of the theory of grops with the theory of algebraic field extensions and with has a very important applications in the theory of equations. The Galoi's Theory, when reduced to its bare essentials, is a study of some of the relationship of three mathematical objects such as an irreducible polynomial f(x)EF[x], for some field F and the splitting field K of f(x) and set of automorphisms of K over F.
