Abstract :
Nowadays plastic is everywhere in today's lifestyle. The disposal of plastic waste is great problem. As these are non-biodegradable substances, which causes harmful environmental pollution. Also these may causes deadly diseases such as cancer and reproductive problems in humans and animals. In recent years application of plastic wastes are used in road construction. These application are mainly used in developing countries on the bases of technical, economic and ecological criteria. In India tons of plastic wastes was generated per year. If we are using these plastic wastes properly, we can use it in road construction. For this we should conduct tests and surveys to develop specification to enhance the use of plastic in road making. The possible uses of these materials should be developed for construction of low volume roads in different part of our country. The study of the uses of plastics in the construction of road has been discussed in this project.
