Abstract :
The Prosopisbark used as an inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in 1 M HCl_..Prosopisbarks yield inhibition efficiencies of 99.39% at the concentration of 80 ppm. Metal performance shown by prosopisbark may be due to the formation of iminium species predominantly in the acidic solution. The adsorption of inhibitors on the metal surface in 1 M HCl is found to obey Tem kin’s adsorption isotherm. These results agree with the results obtained by weight loss measurement technique. The main important tool such as Scanning Electronic Microscopic Technique used to measure the surface before and after corrosion as well as inhibition.
