ENHANCED ENERGY EFFICIENT FILE SHARING FOR AD HOC SOCIAL NETWORK USING MULTI-CATCH CONTENT RETRIEVAL MODEL
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are a type of wireless network that does not have a fixed infrastructure. This makes them attractive for a variety of applications, but it also introduces challenges for file sharing.This paper proposes a new file sharing system for MANETs that uses a social networking approach to improve efficiency and energy consumption. The system, called ESPOON, groups nodes that have common interests together into communities. This allows nodes to share files with other nodes that are more likely to be interested in them.ESPOON also uses a multi-catch content retrieval model to improve the efficiency of file searching. The model uses a combination of flooding and advertisement-based techniques to find nodes that have the desired file.The proposed system has been evaluated using simulations, and the results show that it can achieve significant improvement in energy efficiency and file searching performance over traditional file sharing systems.
