E- RETAILING: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN GLOBAL SCENARIO
E- Retailing is fast growing factor in India. It has witnessed steady growth of 50 - 60% over the year. Nearly 10% of E- commerce activities are done through E- retailing. The roles of e-commerce reduce transaction costs and customers can easily locate and analyze the product. They can pay easily. The customer will receive regular transaction message and they can exchange the products within 30 day, if the product is not good. Some of the key factors that can contribute to the growth of the online retail in India and it increase in the number of Internet users and online buyers. E-Retailing provides a greater range of people to sell the product to its consumer, which can lead to increase in profits, and a decrease in costs. The basic process for e-commerce from a customer viewpoint is need to search for potential products or services that meet requirements. Understanding the risk and challenges in E-retailing is as important as utilizing the technology. It is important for everyone to be aware of such challenges. The top challenge in retail today is securing to POS and all customer data from breach. In this paper, an attempt has been made to study the challenges and opportunities in E-Tailing in Global Scenario.
