M.Nithya &T.Monisha & Dr.C.Viji & Mrs.S.Jayanthi

Rise of e-commerce has increased the business activity on the web interface and therefore, it becomes mandatory to store all vital information on the web interface that are placed on the internal network. As the use of computers and information is increasing leaps and bounds, there are people, process, action and sometimes, careless habit and behavior towards handling the data flowing through these computers that makes the information vulnerable. Intrusion can be defined as the action of people handling the system without authorization or those who have an access are abusing their rights to access all vital information. They are more dangerous and are considered to be “Insider Threat”. Sometimes they try to attempt the integrity, sometimes they try to break into highly confidential data which may cause havoc in the department and sometimes, they try to bother the user by blocking their attempts to connect to the available service. Sometimes, they try to boss over the users by controlling the system and make them “rogue”.
