DETECTION AND PREVENTION OF DDOS ATTACKS USING A HYBRID FALL ALGORITHM
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack, which aims to make a service unavailable to legitimate customers, has become a major threat to Internet security. Traditional DDOS attacks mainly abuse network bandwidth in Internet subsystems and degrade the quality of service, causing network congestion. As a result, several network-based defense methods have tried to detect these traffic volumes for attacks between different traffic paths. Much faster than we discover these customers individually by testing them in a group. So the main problem is grouping clients and advanced targeting of different server machines so that we can immediately identify and filter attackers from that client group when a server is discovered as a target of an attack. Apparently, this problem is similar to Group Testing (GT). Since the detections are based on the service resource usage status of the victim servers, no individual signature-based authentications or data classifications are required, thus overcoming the limitations of the solutions.
