COBALT SUPPORTED AND SILICA PROMOTED ONE POT SYNTHESIS OF SALICYLALDEHYDE OXIME AND ITS SPECTRAL CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITIES
A highly selective two-component silica gel-promoted synthesis and characterization of aromatic oxime (cyclohexanone) Ni is presented. The reaction was carried out using aromatic ketone and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in the presence of silica gel in with stirring. The reaction were worked up by separating the silica gel and recovering the solid produvt after adding water in excellent yields without any chromatographic purification. Structures and anti bacterial,anti fungal activities of the compound were satisfactorily confirmed by UV, FTIR, XRD, spectral analysis and Antimicrobial studies. The synthesized compounds showed the expected spectral range and Posses maximum anti-bacterial as well as anti-fungal activity.
