The target audience of our BIS research includes CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, chief risk officers, IT project leaders, architects and heads of business units. We expect to see focus on the following areas in 2011-2012: (i) Increased personalization for products, services and delivery models, (ii) More proactive risk management that propels business performance or differentiation, (iii) Improved financial services accessibility and new market and customer segment penetration into unbanked populations and the mass-affluent sectors, regionally, and into emerging markets Continued focus on cost/income ratios; in particular, reducing fixed-cost pressures through consideration of newer delivery and sourcing models such as cloud (iv) business model re-engineering to ensure adequate capital and liquidity at acceptable performance levels (v) Greater attention to the collective, especially social networks, (vi) Better IT management capabilities to more adequately address volatile business conditions while addressing governance requirements and resource competencies, (vii) Creating new partnerships with nontraditional providers to accelerate the delivery of new products and services.
