CLASSIC RESULTS OF POTENTIAL THEORY
We describe some important classes of bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces, including projections, unitary operators, and self-adjoint operators. We also prove the Riesz representation theorem, which characterizes the bounded linear functionalson a Hilbert space, and discuss weak convergence in Hilbert spaces. Usually denoted by H,K,M and variants there of, whose elements will usually denoted by symbols such as X,Y,Z and variants there of (like yn,x0). The collection of all bounded complex-linear operators on H will be denoted by B(H). whose elements will usually denoted by symbols such as A.B.E.F.P.Q.T.U,V,X,Y,Z
