CDSTORE: TOWARD RELIABLE, SECURE, AND COST-EFFICIENT CLOUD STORAGE VIA CONVERGENT DISPERSAL
Cloud storage is a popular way to store data, but it can be unreliable, insecure, and expensive. This paper proposes a new cloud storage system called CDStore that addresses these challenges.CDStore uses a technique called convergent dispersal to distribute data chunks across multiple cloud servers. This makes the data more reliable in case of a server failure. CDStore also uses a deterministic secret sharing scheme to ensure data privacy. In addition, CDStore uses two-stage deduplication to reduce storage costs. This means that data chunks that are identical are only stored once. The performance of CDStore has been evaluated using simulations. The results show that CDStore can achieve significant improvement in reliability, security, and cost-efficiency over traditional cloud storage systems.
