The English language is widely spoken in almost every nation on earth. Applying learning theories like humanism, cognitivism, constructivism, and behaviorism helps English learning and teaching achieve its predetermined goals. The goal of this study is to comprehend the difficulties associated with using behaviorism theory to English language teaching and learning. The conclusion suggests that barriers to utilizing behaviorism theory in English instruction can be divided into learner, teacher, and environmental-based barriers. Psychological issues with learners, such fear, might make it difficult to apply important behaviorism theory ideas to the teaching of English. The competence of instructors, particularly in the implementation of fundamental elements of behaviorism theory in teaching English, is one of the teacher-based problems. This will be important for everyone involved in education, particularly English language teaching. Learner-based challenges include such psychological problems as anxiety, which limit the application of key principles of behaviorism theory in teaching English: while, Teacher-based challenges include the ability of teachers, especially in the application of key principles of behaviorism theory in teaching English as second language in Indian Peninsula.
