A SECURE PRIVACY-PRESERVING AND RANKED KEYWORD SEARCH OVER ENCRYPTED CLOUD DATA
Cloud computing has become a popular way to store and manage data. However, one of the challenges of cloud computing is protecting the privacy of the data. This is because the data is stored on remote servers, which are not under the control of the data owner. One way to protect the privacy of data in the cloud is to encrypt the data before it is stored. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing the data. However, encrypted data cannot be searched effectively. This is because the search engine cannot see the content of the data. This paper proposes a new approach to ranked keyword search over encrypted cloud data. The proposed approach is secure and privacy-preserving. It also allows the search results to be ranked according to the relevance of the keywords. The proposed approach is based on the concept of searchable encryption. Searchable encryption is a type of encryption that allows the search engine to search for keywords in encrypted data. The proposed approach uses a ranking-keyword semantics to rank the search results. The ranking-keyword semantics is based on the "coordinate matching" similarity measure. The proposed approach was implemented and evaluated. The results show that the proposed approach is able to perform ranked keyword search over encrypted cloud data securely and efficiently.
