A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON GENDER DIFFERENCES IN PARANORMAL BELIEF AMONG YOUNG ADULTS
The present Aim of the study is to review evidence for the existence of a gender difference in paranormal belief among young adults. 150 samples are collected using Convenient Sampling method. Tools used for this current study is The Revised Paranormal Belief Scale (Tobayck, 2004). The scale consists of 26 items. It is a seven-point rating scale. Scores are drawn by adding all the items. Item no 23 should be reversed. The 7 dimensions of revised paranormal belief scale are: Traditional religious beliefs, Psi beliefs, Witchcraft, Superstition, Spiritualism, Extraordinary life forms, and Precognition. Data were analyzed Using mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test using SPSS20 to find out the gender mean difference, the demographic variable in paranormal belief among young adults.
