PHYSICAL AND THERMAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A FEW DEEP EUTECTIC SOLVENTS
DES is the shorthand for deep eutectic solvent. Environmentally friendly solvents include deep eutectic solvents. DES is a brand-new class of solvents with a staggering array of uses. Although the issues with traditional volatile organic solvents have been extensively investigated, using green and biodegradable solvents continues to be a difficult task. DES have been investigated in a wide range of processes, applications, and metal-catalyzed organic reactions. Low melting combinations of carbohydrates, urea, and inorganic salts have recently been introduced as novel, sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based solvents for organic transformations. In the current study, binary deep eutectic solvents were created by combining the amino acids Glycine, Citric, Malonic, and acids with ethylene glycol.
