BIOSYNTHESIS OF TIO2 NANOPARTICLES USING EDIBLE MUSHROOM (PLEUROTUS DJAMOR) EXTRACT: MOSQUITO LARVICIDAL, HISTOPATHOLOGICAL, ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTICANCER EFFECT

J.SEETHALAKSHMI, M.INDUMATHI

The aqueous extract from P. djamor was used to create the titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2NPs). The greatest absorption of TiO2NPs in the UV-Vis spectrum was observed at 345 nm, and the existence of TiO2NPs was confirmed by the XRD pattern, which shows peaks at 2h values of 27,51, 36,16, 41,31, 54,37, 56,68, and 69.04 that can be indexed to the (110), (101), (111), (211), (220), (204), and (301). A peak was visible in the TiO2NPs' FT-IR spectrum at 3432, 1631, 1400, 1109, and 619 cm-1. The spherical shape and size were disclosed by SEM and HRTEM analyses, and the EDAX pattern verified the purity of the TiO2NPs. TiO2NPs were measured to have a particle size of 31 nm and a zeta potential of 16.4 mV. bacterial resistance The maximum zones of inhibition against P. fluorescens, S. aureus, and C. diphtheriae were recorded by TiO2NPs at 33 0.2 mm, 32 0.4 mm, and 32 0.1 mm, respectively. Additionally, TiO2NPs' anticancer efficacy against A549 cancer cells demonstrated a range of 9.08 to 64.71 percent at a concentration of 6.25 to 100 lg/ml. LC50 (5.88 and 4.84 mg/l) and LC90 (22.80 and 19.33 mg/l) values for the larvicidal activities of TiO2 NPs on IVth instar larvae of Ae. aegypti and Cx quinquefasciatus were found to be more effective. Future pharmaceutical applications made use of TiO2NPs' diverse biological activities.
