Mr.S.Ramarajan and Dr.P.P.Poornima

This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of Chitosan-Curcumin nanoparticles and explores their potential antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. Chitosan, a biocompatible and biodegradable polysaccharide, was utilized as a carrier for Curcumin, a natural bioactive compound known for its various health benefits. The nanoparticles were prepared using a simple and efficient method, and their physicochemical properties were thoroughly characterized using advanced analytical techniques. The antioxidant activity of the Chitosan-Curcumin nanoparticles was assessed through various assays, revealing their potential as free radical scavengers. Additionally, the nanoparticles' antimicrobial efficacy against various pathogens was evaluated, highlighting their promising role as antimicrobial agents. Furthermore, the study investigated the anticancer potential of the nanoparticles against different cancer cell lines, revealing encouraging results. The findings of this research demonstrate the potential application of Chitosan-Curcumin nanoparticles as multifunctional therapeutic agents in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.
