Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Abutilon indicum, a medicinal plant with known bioactive compounds, is gaining significant interest due to its eco-friendly and sustainable approach. In this study, we report the synthesis of silver nanoparticles through the reduction of silver ions by Abutilon indicum leaf or flower extracts, which act as reducing and stabilizing agents. The formation of AgNPs was confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, which exhibited characteristic absorption peaks in the range of X nm, corresponding to the surface Plasmon resonance of nanoparticles. The morphology and size of the AgNPs were determined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS), revealing well-dispersed nanoparticles with an average size of Y nm. Additionally, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis indicated the presence of phytochemicals responsible for the reduction and capping of AgNPs.
