EVALUATION OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF WASTE WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM VARIOUS AREAS IN SALEM DISTRICT

Dr. S.Poongodi and N.Roopa

This study aims to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of wastewater samples collected from various areas in Salem district. Wastewater pollution is a significant environmental concern, and understanding the quality of the collected samples is crucial for effective water resource management and pollution control. In this research, wastewater samples were gathered from different locations within Salem district, and a comprehensive analysis was conducted to assess parameters such as pH, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), and various chemical constituents. The results provide valuable insights into the contamination levels and potential sources of pollution in the region, aiding in the formulation of appropriate remediation strategies and sustainable wastewater management practices.
