Abstract :
Ontology is an evolving concept of artificial intelligence incorporated with knowledge based web. Ontology matching is the concept of establishing correspondence among ontologies. Ontology mapping is the method to map components from ontology to components of ontology. The missing values in ontology is inserted and an efficient ontology can be created using mapping. Ontology Alignment involves matching of pre-existing ontologies of various domains from heterogeneous data sources and synthesizes them into ontology, with established relationships under a particular domain. Hence, this aligned ontology can be a contribution for changing the World Wide Web into knowledge based or Semantic Web.
