GRAPHIC PASSWORD EFFECTS FOR SOFT PASSWORD, IMAGE SELECTION AND OTP PASSWORD SECURITY

D.Karthikeswaran and J.Gnana Mano Sheebha

Many information security primitives are based on difficult mathematical problems. Using hard Al problems to improve security appears as an exciting new paradigm, but it has been underexplored. In this paper, we present a new security primitive based on hard Al problems, namely a family of graphical password systems built on the new Fuzzle technology, which we call Puzzle for Graphical Passwords (CaPRP). CaFRP is both an Enigma and a graphical password model. CaPRP completely solves several security problems such as network-based guessing attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and shoulder attacks combined with the two-view technique. In particular, the CaPRP password can only be found with probability in an automated network By guessing attacks even when the password is in the search set, CaPRP also offers a new approach to the well-known image hotspot problem of popular graphical password systems such as Pass Points, which often leads to weak password authentication. CaPRP is not a panacea, but it offers reasonable protection and usability and seems well suited for some practical applications to improve network security.
