Abstract :
A personalized e-learning system provides effective learning for its users. Compared to a traditional e-learning system that provides the same content to each learner, a personalized learning system provides learners with specific learning content and assessments. Personalization is based on artificial intelligence (AI)-based techniques, where appropriate content for each learner is determined based on the learner's level of understanding and desired learning methods. This article presents the requirements and challenges of a personal e-learning system. The research focuses on addressing four research questions related to identifying key factors in individualized education, developing cutting edge research in the field, utilizing the benefits of Al in individualized education and determining future research directions. The article uses a comprehensive review of current research to answer these questions. It provides a comprehensive overview of existing solutions, offering customized e-learning solutions. Different learning models and learning theories that are important in providing personalized education are also discussed. It offers an effective framework that provides personalized online learning for each learner. The paper will be useful for scholars and researchers to understand the requirements of such a system, understand its methodology and identify the challenges to be met.
