IN-VITRO ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTICANCER ACTIVITY OF HEPG-2 CELL LINE IN ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF DELONIX ELATA
This study investigates the in vitro antioxidant and anticancer activity of the ethanolic extract obtained from Delonix elata using the HEPG-2 cell line as a model. Delonix elata is a plant known for its traditional medicinal uses, and its potential antioxidant and anticancer properties have not been extensively explored. In this research, the ethanolic extract of Delonix elata was subjected to various antioxidant assays, including DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) scavenging activity and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)) radical scavenging assay. Additionally, the cytotoxic effects of the extract on HEPG-2 cells were evaluated using MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay.
