THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW DRUG FOR ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

M.Radha, Dr.V.Priya

Alzheimer's disease is a leading cause of dementia. There is no cure for Alzheimer's disease, but there are drugs that can help to slow the progression of the disease. This study proposes the development of a new drug for Alzheimer's disease that targets the amyloid plaques that are characteristic of the disease. The study was conducted in mice with Alzheimer's disease. The mice were treated with the new drug, and the results were compared to a control group of mice that were not treated. The study found that the new drug was effective in reducing the levels of amyloid plaques in the brains of mice with Alzheimer's disease. The drug also improved the cognitive function of the mice .The new drug has the potential to be a breakthrough treatment for Alzheimer's disease. However, further research is needed to assess its safety and efficacy in humans.
