UTILIZING A PANI-STIMULATED ZNO SYSTEM TO DEGRADE COLORED DYES BY VISIBLE LIGHT PHOTOCATALYSIS

B.Kumar, R.Mani, M.Shanmugam, K.Jayanthi

The intermolecular interaction between the conducting polyaniline (PANI) and ZnO nanocomposite system in this study sponsors more electrons to the conduction band of ZnO nanoparticles, leading to better degradation of methyl orange and methylene blue under visible light conditions. Precipitation and sonication were used to create pure ZnO and catalysts with various mole ratios of PANI to ZnO. The Tauc plot was used to determine the band gap of the nanocomposite system visible in the red zone. The high PANI content in the ZnO system reduces the crystallite size and crystallinity of the materials, according to the X-ray diffraction results. Methyl orange and methylene blue degraded more quickly in PZ1.5 as compared to the other prepared compounds. Why there is a high catalytic.
