WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS

According to UNESCO, women empowerment involves increasing the resourcefulness in women through transformation through grabbing the ability to learn skills and the ability to make decisions of by themselves. It involves the knack to understand others perceptions of any given situation in life. It is also having access to resources and involving in the growth process by attending trainings. Being economically empowered develops women's capability to impact, change or form a superior nation. Even after seventy five years of Independence, India's progress is slow due to the lack of women's participation. Women are often indiscernible in the growth scenario. Development process without the contribution of women, who form a significant part of the society, will become unbalanced. Education and training women in skills diminishes inequalities, gender biases and influence women to make a better society and to become the most vital part of the economy. So, educating Women through proper trainings and teachings can empower women to endow with the capability to facilitate them to explore the world and involve fully in the development process. This paper attempts to study specifically the role of trainings in skill development and women empowerment in India.
