WORLD FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE PRODUCTION, UTILIZATION AND TRADE

Ichthyology means “Ichthys” a fish and “Logos” a discourse.   Fish is a cold blooded vertebrate adapted to aquatic mode of life.   It breathes with the help of pharyngeal gills.  The oxygen which remains dissolved in water.  It can propel and balance itself with the help of fins.  Aquaculture continuous to grow more rapidly than all other animal food producing sectors, with an average annual growth rate for the world of 8.8   percent year status from FAO. The world's population’s explosion fees becoming as source of increasing concern for all countries because the problem of feeding billions of persons is becoming a cute each day. The Commercial Food uses of fishes are highly economical importance for society. Bio diversity defined as “variations of life at all levels of biological organization”.  It is a measure of the relative diversity among organisms present in different eco systems.  Another defined as the variability among the living organisms on the earth including the variability within and between species and within and between ecosystems.   The biodiversity has been identified into three levels are a genetic bio diversity, species diversity and ecosystem diversity.  All the fishes which develop outside the mother's body which develop from eggs shed into the water by the female and fertilized there by the male hatch as larvae of conventional cylindrical shape.
