A STUDY ON SYNTHESIS OF ZINC NANOPARTICLES AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF SOLANIUM ROBASTUM

Dr.C.Marimuthu and, K.Gayathri

The present study focuses on the green synthesis of zinc nanoparticles (ZnNPs) using Solanum robustum extract and investigates their potential antibacterial properties. The green synthesis method offers a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to fabricating nanoparticles, utilizing the reducing and stabilizing capabilities of plant extracts. The extract of Solanum robustum, a medicinal plant known for its bioactive compounds, was employed as a reducing and capping agent to produce ZnNPs. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using various analytical techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
