ASSESSMENT OF SILVER NANOPARTICLE FROM COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) SHELL ON DENGUE VECTOR TOXICITY, DETOXIFYING ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY AND PREDATORY RESPONSE OF AQUATIC ORGANISM
The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles extract of Cocos nucifera shell and its larvicidal activity. UV–visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and transmission electron microscopy, were accomplished to ascertain the formation of silver nanoparticle. It was observed that the growths of silver nanoparticle are terminated within 40 min of reaction time. The mortality rate was observed in the silver nanoparticles against Aedes aegypti. The results revealed that the biosynthesized nanoparticles exhibited a higher mortality rate with high concentration of 10 ppm against mosquito larvae. The present study confirmed that the silver nanoparticle rendering high larvicidal efficacy and the detoxifying enzymatic profiles (Glutathione S transferase and Cytochrome P450) proves a great potential in the formulation used against diseases causing vector. Non-target aquatic organism also subjected to analyze the mortality rate for their effectiveness. The results confirmed that the Cocos nucifera is a very good eco-friendly and nontoxic source for the synthesis of silver nanoparticle as compared to the conventional chemical/physical methods. Synthesized silver nanoparticles were highly efficient against Ae. Aegypti.
