FEMINISM JOHN STRENBERK THE EAST OF EDEN
This Research is composed with five chapters the first chapter deals with the introduction to American literature and background of John Steinbeck and his work. The second chapter deals about the narrative style and techniques. Steinbeck uses imagery metaphor and other figurative languages which makes the novel more effective. The Third chapter deals about the character analysis of Adam Track, Charles Track and Cathy Ames. The fourth deals about the theme of feminism in East of Eden detail Cathy moves from new England where she lives Independently and she decides herself what she wants. The final chapter deals with the conclusion and East of Eden dramatize this perpetual conflict between good and evil in the society of the Salinas valley as a whole and within the individually of the Track and Hamilton families in particular.
