HISTORICAL AMELIORATION OF INDIAN TOURISM: A NEOTERIC SKETCH

Abstract :
The tourism sector is on a superior in the 21st century. India should steer tourism policies to step ahead of this opportunity. The paper aims to review the tourism policies, promotional activities, and initiatives by the government of India and the competitiveness of the Indian tourism sector at the international intensity. The findings conclude that India is deficient in the issues of protection, safeguarding and spotlessness, information & communication, infrastructure, facilities, corruption, terrorism, and undue begging and immoral and has a resonance position only on the issue of natural resources, prices historical monuments, festivals and multicultural heritage.
